About

Caroline Summers brings a passion for design and architecture coupled with 18 years of residential and commercial real estate experience to her position at Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty. She is a Dallas native and has lived and worked in Texas all of her life.

Caroline started her career in real estate in 1995 working closely with Ellen Terry at Ellen Terry Realtors, affording her a unique opportunity to collaborate with and provide extraordinary service and integrity in the Dallas luxury real estate market.

In 1997 Caroline was asked to join the Staubach Company and quickly realized success by being named vice president. She co-founded Cypress Equities within Staubach, and Cypress became a leader in developing and acquiring destination class retail, residential and resort properties across the United States and offshore. She was consistently one of the top producers at Staubach achieving this designation 6 of the 10 years she was with the Company.

Caroline’s dedication to architecture and design has served her well during her collaborations with her mother Emily Summers. Emily is recognized as one of the nation’s preeminent designers, making Architectural Digest’s list of top 100 designers in 2013. It is the sixth consecutive time her firm has been distinguished on this list since 2007.

These associations and partnerships have culminated with Caroline developing a unique knowledge of design and its ability to enhance the architecture and overall appeal of luxury residential properties with a focus on homes of architectural integrity. Her expertise in real estate finance, legal liabilities and sales brings an uncommon synergy to the residential real estate market. Caroline currently assists clients as an interior design consultant, which enables her to put the right clients with the appropriate architecture and design associated with their needs.

Caroline is a graduate of Highland Park High School and the University of Southern California, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She was hired after graduation by the full service law firm of Locke, Lord, Bissell & Lidell, LLP, with offices throughout the United States and overseas, as a recruiting coordinator. She held that position until her move to Ellen Terry Realtors in 1995.

She is active with various professional organizations and in the Dallas community serving and contributing to the DMA Junior Associates, Dallas Architecture Forum, Preservation Dallas, Two x Two and First Look, Dallas Film Society, Arts and Letters Live, Tate Lecture Series, Friday Night Live Cancer Support Community and Ballroom Marfa.
