The yard was designed by Paul Fields (then at Lambert’s) who won a prestigious national award for the landscape design, which includes a 20 yard lap pool (new pool equipment recently installed). The planting was updated in November 2019. The birdhouses must stay because the same purple martins have created a huge colony. We would be happy to advise with respect to the minimal maintenance work needed to ensure their annual return. The bronze piranha fish artwork above the pool cannot be moved and this artwork was a design specific by Yorgos Kypris, a Greek artist whose works are on display in museums and the lobby of the World Bank in Washington, DC. Our garden was photographed, accepted and archived into the Smithsonian Collection of American Gardens in Washington, DC.

The grand dining room was the place to be about 4 years ago when President and Mrs. Bush, golfer Tom Watson, golf club manufacturer Barney Adams, wives and others had a wonderful dinner. Another time, Tom Scholar, the Chief of Staff for British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, also dined on the patio.
